Change Log

Patch 5.1.0

• Nerf: changed Stridor to apply its effect as a multiplier, rather than them being additive.
  • This meant that Stridor could no longer counter effects that reduced a Survivor's Grunts of Pain to 0 % (e.g. Iron Will).

Patch 8.1.1

• Buff: adjusted the values to close the gaps between Tiers to make lower tiered versions of Stridor more useful.
  • Increased Grunts of Pain from 25/50/50 % to 30/40/50 %.
  • Increased regular breathing from 0/0/25 % to 15/20/25 %.
• Reversal: reverted the previous nerf from three years earlier, making Stridor add its effect instead of multiplying it with others.
  • This means that if another Perk reduces the volume to 0 %, Stridor can raise it to reduced levels of up to 50 % again.

Trivia

• The term "Stridor" describes a high-pitched wheezing sound caused by disrupted airflow, which is also what The Nurse suffers from.
• Stridor stacks with other Unlockables that increase Survivors' Grunts of Pain, such as Jump Rope (Dream Demon), Coarse Stone or Metal Spoon.
